How I work
Counselling is your space to think, reflect, and explore what is happening for you at a pace that feels right.

An approach tailored to you
I work in an integrative way, which means I draw from different counselling approaches depending on what feels most helpful for you as an individual.
Sessions are led by you and what feels most important to bring. Some people arrive with something very clear they would like to work through, while others simply know that something does not feel quite right. Both are welcome.
I will listen carefully, ask thoughtful questions, and help you explore both the challenges you are facing and the progress you may not always notice yourself. Small steps forward are important and often build into meaningful change over time.
Where it feels helpful, I may also offer practical tools and ways of thinking that you can use in everyday life to support your confidence, decision-making, and sense of direction.
You are always in control of what you choose to share and the pace we work at, and everything we discuss is treated with care and respect for your confidentiality.
Counselling works best as a shared process, where we work together at a pace that feels right for you.
Counselling is your space to think, reflect, and make decisions that feel right for you.
What to expect in your first session
Your first session is an opportunity for us to begin getting to know each other and to talk about what has brought you to counselling.
You do not need to prepare anything in advance or have everything worked out before you start. Some people arrive with something very clear they would like support with, while others simply know that something does not feel quite right. Both are completely welcome.
We will spend some time exploring what you would like from counselling and what feels important for you at the moment. This also gives you the chance to ask questions and get a sense of whether working together feels comfortable for you.
Counselling works best when it feels like the right fit, and the first session is part of deciding that together.
You are always in control of what you choose to share and the pace we work at.

Take the first step when you’re ready
Many people feel unsure about starting counselling for the first time. It is completely okay to take things one step at a time.
